One more entry before I’m done for the day. I feel like sharing that on Saturday night I had the most lovely tanda with a man who was relatively new to tango (I think). He didn’t know how to dance the close embrace, he immediately held me good foot or so away from him. Normally this annoys me but he was so nice and I had a good feeling about it. I sensed no ego from him whatsoever, just someone who wanted to dance. I had so much fun and I forgot how much I dislike dancing open. Though he was still trying to figure a few things out, his leading was tender and sweet, and I got the sense that he was fully enjoying our tanda. Eventually he even started to allow me to embrace a little more closely. He had the sensitivity that it takes to make me happy during a dance. It was better than dancing with some of the more experienced tangueros.
So remember guys, sensitivity! (It may even lead a girl to Tango Bliss).

Thanks for the post… I just came home discouraged a bit from tango class and reading your post perked me up.
You recall his sensitivity and very likely he remembers “the taste of tango” which you shared with him.
