Compliment of the week

“I was watching you dance, and I just have to say, you have amazing legs!”

I told the girl who paid me this generous compliment that she’s now my best friend.

Last night was “okay” at Il Bistro, kind of a bizzare crowd. My favorite dancers and I spent most of the time hanging out at the bar, chatting.

There were a couple of rather intoxicated young ladies with bleached dreadlocks, doing some sort of an odd girating dance in the middle of the dance floor. While it was interesting, I can’t help but get annoyed when non-tango people come in and disturb the line of dance, because it creates a dangerous situation for everyone (especially those of us with stilletto shoes). It also hinders the ability for people to go into that “tango trance” and truly enjoy their partners. The best solution for me was to get away from the dance floor and just enjoy the company of my friends and Mi Amor, and a good glass of wine.
