Jaja. I ran across your blog somehow after searching “maple syrup.” Anyway, this post made me laugh out loud because I have had so many of the same experiences with my boyfriend’s Argentine family. The best is when they offer you “ham” and butter for your toast because they’re not pronouncing “jamón” correctly.
