As I was drinking coffee and trying to wake up this morning, I thought about something I wrote a couple of years ago in my other blog, before I was about to move to Italy. I looked up the post, and read through my favorite part:
Today I belly-danced in the Fremont Summer Solstice Parade in Seattle. My second year. It was a success! We were 200 bellies - talk about powerful! Two hundred beautiful strong women IN RED costumes, are not to be disregarded and I think people were stunned to see so many of us. As we were dancing awesome choreography in unison in four lines down the street, people were cheering and clapping, and I heard one woman shout “GO GIRLS!! TAKE OVER THE WORLD - RIGHT NOW!!!”
Hmmm. Take over the world…. As I look at the previous post titled “A girl who could…” and I think of my accomplishments in life and the things I am about to do, I realize that in my own little way, I have.
I close my eyes and visualize myself as a captain of my own ship, eyes on the horizon, ready to take on every fabulous opportunity that comes my way.
I’m not finished yet. ![]()
