What a great collection of photos. Who knew Santiago had so many sides? I really like the one of the cat on the cold tin roof and the lemon tree with those colorful shutters behind it. Beautiful stuff!

Oh, and your new layout is great. Really pretty and easy to navigate.

Ha! Actually Tanguera, the first thing my friend told me about Pisco is that it is actually from Peru and that there is a debate between the Peruvians and the Chileans. So yes, now I have to find Peruvian Pisco and see if there is a difference - but really, the difference will be in the talent of the person who actually mixes the drink ;-)

Thanks for all your comments everybody!

Wow, beautiful pictures!! I must visit Chile sometime!!!! :) Now you've definitely tempted me.

And I have to add that the final version of the blog looks AWESOME :) I just love it.

PS A little interesting bit of info: did you know that Chile and Peru have a longstanding rivalry regarding the origin of the Pisco? In Peru, people will tell you that the Pisco liquor (and its derivate coctail the Pisco Sour) is originally Peruvian and that the Chileans highjacked it :) They will claim as well that the Peruvian pisco is of much higher quality than the Chilean, something that the Chileans also rebate, of course :). I haven't really tried both (just the Peruvian, which is fabulous). You should see if somewhere down in BAs you can find a Peruvian restaurant and check their version of the Pisco Sour :) But for your account, it does sound that the Chilean stands up proudly by itself :)
