Sometimes you need music that isn’t Tango.
So, we found ourselves in San Telmo at a restaurant, eating salame and cheese, drinking malbec, and listening to a live blues band!
These guys were good. Really good. So good in their style, in fact, that I was *almost* convinced that they were from the States - until they talked between songs. Yeah, still in Argentina.
Of course, me being the chick singer that I am (sang in a band in Seattle), I was up and dancing with Mi Amor and our friends, and singing along. I was harmonizing just to make myself happy (I do weird things like that) and, well, I have a voice that carries so the next thing I knew, the singer of the band had the microphone in my face. Ah, fame. You just can’t escape it… ![]()

It’s funny that you should write this…Sarah’s dad just got back from a chip to Chile and Brazil, he met a blind man playing the blues on the street and start singing along with him (obviously, he has a good voice like you!) After a few songs, all of the shopkeepers came out and wanted to know who was singing in English!!!
