On another note, I think it is so interesting when I hear from others that they prefer not to go to Niño Bien due to it being supposedly “touristy”. First of all, the people who say this are tourists themselves which makes it sound kind of funny. Second of all, while it does attract tourists, I haven’t really danced with any at all, unless they are people I already know. There are plenty of local men to dance with, and they are the ones who invite me. I’ve had some of my best dances at Niño Bien.
Dances so lovely that I know and trust with all my heart that nobody on the crazy dance floor can possibly harm me, and so lovely that I find myself grinning ear to ear with starlit eyes for half an hour afterwards.

I thought I got a glimpse of what an entrega is by watching you tonight.
watching you dancing with the portenos. that is.
And that floor. I love the floor at Niño Bien…it’s the best…
I agree with you about NB, it’s my favorite milonga, and I’ve had great dances there with locals. (Ditto on the fact that tourists complain on tourists, a bit odd).
