The Fabulous Women of Tango

Posted by Tina  Published in Social Issues

I was inspired to write this because of this post by dear Farfallina, who has helped me tremendously lately.

And oh the cafes….

Posted by Tina  Published in Buenos Aires, Culture

A new look, nothing to say…

Posted by Tina  Published in Tango

I got antsy and changed the look of my blog a little bit.  I haven’t been too inspired to write anything lately so I thought I’d just post another video.  What is it about these two that just gets me?  I keep referring to them lately!

Special delivery from Buenos Aires…

Thank you Darcos!
And just for fun, in the name of shoes, I’ll share with you the song that Miss Tango turned me onto last year. We walked through Buenos Aires (on our way to Comme il Faut), quoting from this song.

Dear Santa,

I know it’s a little early, but can I ask for my Christmas present anyway?  I want…….

Observations at a milonga

Posted by Tina  Published in Tango, etiquette at milongas

Just a couple of things that have come to mind lately. Please excuse the cranky undertone - I really am quite happy these days.
1) At a milonga recently, I witnessed a man saying over and over to a beginning follower, “Relax! Relax!” while patting her back almost impatiently. I later learned that […]

Random thought

Posted by Tina  Published in Lessons, Tango

I’m grateful that it’s taken me almost 5 years to get to where I am. I am grateful that I didn’t rush my learning process. I am grateful that I made mistakes along the way and savored them. I am grateful that I still have stuff to work on and plenty of […]
